Moreover, it is one of the top 10 companies in global pharmaceutical sales. They are dedicated to researching, developing, and bringing to market innovative medicines and therapies to address some of humanity's most pressing healthcare challenges. The focus areas include neuroscience, oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, and pulmonary hypertension.

 

After 10 years of continuous growth, our client's business is facing two years of solid growth in 2024 and 2025. This is an important period to ensure the successful delivery of their performance goals. As importantly, this is a great opportunity to pivot towards a new-generation commercial model with core capabilities needed for the future. As a Strategic Program Manager, you'll play a critical role in clarifying their strategies for the transformation and driving cross-functional alignment and collaboration to deliver success. 

 

Contribute to the evolvement of the commercialization strategy

  • Develop a comprehensive view of strategic initiatives.
  • Propose directions for commercial strategy evolvement and relevant initiatives.
  • Drive alignment with key stakeholders on the direction of strategy evolvement.

 

Lead the successful execution of Commercial Excellence (CE) key initiatives across Business Unit (BU)

  • Ensure a clear definition of project goals, approaches and implementation plan.
  • Ensure BU strategy/ situations are appropriately considered in CE projects.
  • Work closely with CE business partners to ensure alignment of project goals/ approaches across BU.
  • Implement strong project management to ensure the successful delivery of the projects.

 

Work with APAC teams to introduce new capabilities 

  • Closely work with the APAC team to reflect Japan's business situation and needs in new capability design.
  • Lead execution of the project in Japan. 

 

Contribute to CE and strategy and operation culture and way of working

  • Support management of key governance bodies to drive alignment and collaboration in CE and cross-functionally.
  • Drive CE culture and way of working towards the defined vision.

 

*The assignment of the responsibilities will be based on the scale/complexity/stakeholders/organization life cycle and other factors. The actual percentage of time spent on the major duties and responsibilities listed above will vary based on the assignment/rotation/project allocated at any given point in time.

Requirements

【Required Capability & Skills】

  • Good understanding of the Healthcare industry (Pharma projects at a consulting firm or Pharma company experience is a plus) 
  • Strong consulting experience is a plus
  • Highly strategic and visionary
  • Ability to engage with a wide range of senior stakeholders in Japan and across the region
  • Ability to think outside of the box to propose solutions to difficult problems.
  • Strong project management skill
  • Fluent English and business-level Japanese
